After setting up a meeting, you will forward me your existing resume and a job description for what you are applying for if it is available. Our first meeting we will discuss your resume in depth and focus on how to best highlight your experience and your accomplishments. You will then go back and make the necessary improvements and we will get together again to review the revised resume. We are going to continue to do this until we get it to our standard.

The key to interviewing is being able to convey exactly what you want the employer to know about you and your skills. We will work on the obvious interview questions but also focus on you being able to express your brand that ties into your resume and how you navigate the interview process.

Networking is one of the most important things you can do in not just looking for the next job but laying out your career. Most people have no idea how to tap into their own vast networks and we will mine anything and everything to increase your reach. From there, you will be able to research jobs, learn more about companies, discover opportunities.

Where do I start? What am I looking for? These are some of the issues that we will work on. We will also discuss what is available given your interests and skill set. Then how to apply.

LinkedIn has become incredibly important. Companies are now more interested in your LinkedIn profile than your resume so we need to make sure that those two work together. We will work on your resume and profile together so that they are presenting your best you, not just mirroring each other. We will also explore Jobs and Networking within LinkedIn to better utilize everything that they offer.

What's next for me? Is it time to change jobs? Change careers? We will meet to discuss what are your best options. And what you are best suited to do.

I work everyday with Honors Carolina students that are applying to Grad Schools or just got into UNC. I work closely with Admissions for both UNC and the individual schools within such as Kenan-Flagler Business School so that I am able to provide prospective students what the Schools are looking for in their essays and applications.

Cover letter writing is a lost art that is incredibly important. A cover letter will tell a prospective employer a lot of times more than what their resume does. When an employer says they are optional, THEY NEVER ARE. We will discuss who it is going to and what job you are applying for.

After getting those done, we will start the job search emphasizing what you want to do with your career and how your skills will compliment that. When you land those dream interviews, we are going to make sure that you are fully prepared for anything that comes your way.
